Deaf Mode is a setting that can be toggled in the menu in the settings tab or when first time players are watching the intro.
When you're in a game with Deaf Mode on, every sound in the game is muted, including the entities. Everything is replaced with a visual cue (mainly entities).
Entity Changes:
Note: Every prime, The Void, The Darkness and Paralysis don’t have changes.
- A-40: A white/gray indicator will point directly to a locker it is in. If a player hovers there cursor over a locker Shell is inside, the following phrases appear:
-Who is Breathing
-Occupied?
-Hello?
-Not Safe
-Something's in there
- A-60: Multimonster shows a static overlay that increases when it gets closer. The screenshaking has a greater range.
- A-100: Pnevma shows a small brown bar on your screen showing you exactly where it is when it clacks, and a red bar for when you take damage from A-100. A smaller red bar appears when you attract Pnevma.
- A-120: Happy Scribble shakes the screen a lot more and shows an indicator that flashes every screen shake.
- A-200: Whenever A-200 spawns, a large white indicator shows that it has spawned. This indicator fades away after a second. Whenever A-200 passes by, the same white indicator reveals that it is close to the player. Whenever Insidæ despawns, a white indicator fading away is displaced, indicating that it despawned. A-200’s prime variant doesn't have any changes.
- A-250: Whenever it starts to spawn, it shakes the ceiling more aggressively and has a red indicator pointing up, regardless of position. Whenever A-250 halts it’s attack from another entity, the indicator will fade for a bit and return when Kalypto is about to attack the player without disruption.
