Ghosts are players that have died in a run where other players are still alive. They cannot be seen by, and interact with anybody except for other ghosts.
Appearance[]
Ghosts take on the appearance of a regular avatar, but are fully whited-out and are slightly transparent.
Mechanics[]
Ghosts are able to see through the dark, featuring a minor cyan-purplish tint to their vision.
Ghosts are able to send extremely short messages to alive players and light up certain areas using the [M] and [F] key respectively. However, both actions require them to have enough energy to do so, represented by a bar at the bottom of their screen. Ghosts gain energy from computers.
Ghosts cannot directly speak to any alive player, but can still talk with other ghosts. They are also unable to physically interact with alive players, the only thing they are able to do is simply watch the alive players until they die or leave.
Ghosts are able to be seen by anyone using the Scanner, and can be heard by anyone using the Envy Charm.
Trivia[]
- Ghosts directly comes from the ghost mechanic from nicorocks5555's Rooms.
- Ghosts are able to see if The Multimonster or Multimonster Prime is coming, by just going back to and tracking the very last available room. This can help if the ghost(s) and the alive player(s) are directly speaking to each other via platforms such as Discord.
- Players cannot turn into a ghost if their run has not begun yet.
- Ghosts will be sent back to the most recently spawned room if they fall into a pit or get caught by Void.
- Ghosts can communicate with living players through the built-in Roblox chat, but this can only occur when a specific command is executed by a player with elevated privileges. This is also possible with the Envy charm, however only the user of envy can see the chat.
- A video of this being shown in action is available, here.
- Players that are turned into a ghost do not appear in the player list.
- Ghosts may replenish their "energy bar" by going to turned on computers which also emit a sort of whispering noise. Computers are found in room types: Desk room, and Bridge room (below bridge)
- Ghosts will automatically be sent to the main menu if any living players open door A-999
- If a player is a ghost and the surviving player(s) reaches a checkpoint, the ghost will not receive the checkpoint warp.
