Description
The MultiMonster Prime (A-60') is the prime variation of The MultiMonster that can spawn past A-50 after an attack from said entity. When it is about to attack, players' flashlights will start to flicker until it has despawned, acting as a visual cue. It belongs in the Primes, along with A-200' and A-90'.
Appearance
The Multi-Monster Prime has the exact same appearance as The Multi-Monster, with the only difference being that it is blue. The particle effects it emits are also blue and cyan.
Mechanics
In terms of behavior, The Multi Monster Prime acts exactly the same as The Multi-Monster. The only real difference between the two, in terms of mechanics, is that it spawns only after A-49 (The Multi Monster Prime can spawn if A-60 opens door A-50), and follows an attack from said entity. When it is about to attack, anyone with their light on will have it be disrupted. Said disruption will make a noise until it despawns, serving as a visual and auditory cue that lets players know it is coming.
When The Multi-Monster Prime is about to attack, players must exit and re-enter their hiding spot or stay under their table to avoid being killed by the entity, as well as to evade any damage that may be caused by The Darkness. One must be careful as it can attack up to five times in a row (On earlier rooms, it will usually attack only 1 time but can attack more than once rarely). Repeat the re-entering process until disruption ends. After A-900, The Multi-Monster Prime speeds up and comes about 2-3 seconds after the attack of The Multi-Monster and can spawn again up to 5 times in a row, so hide as fast as possible (using S key to exit) or you might get damaged depending on how late you enter the locker. This becomes easier with the Patience Charm.
Primes are known to be much weaker, trading its DPS to become weaker, but becoming silent as a tradeoff. Due to this, A-60' deals much less damage than its main counterpart when attacking a player.
How to survive
When your flashlight becomes disrupted after an attack from the Multi Monster (Flickering) , you will have to exit and re-enter your hiding spot in order to avoid being killed by Multi Monster Prime. However, don't spend too much time in your spot, as The Darkness may injure or kill you, especially past A-100 when entities start to get progressively aggressive. It is advised to turn your light on as The Multi Monster passes, then re-enter immediately if it flickers in order to effectively avoid The Darkness.
Despawn Information
The Multi Monster Prime (A-60') Can Spawn Again after a single prime passes by (despawns) , When a prime despawns mostly if your unlucky you have a chance for 1 - 2 (or higher if your even unluckier) for a prime to rebound (Spawn again), but it is likely (kind of) rare, so make sure you turn on your light after A-60' (the multi monster prime) leaves, as it will rush back, almost like rebounding
Shortcut: A-60' Can Spawn again after a Prime Despawns or passes by, so make sure you have your flashlight turned on EVEN if Prime despawns
(theres the same information at spawn and despawn rules, this is for more context)
Spawn and Despawn Rules
- Never spawn without its main counterpart attacking first and destroying an unopened door (This rule can be violated using admin commands).
- If an attack is prompted but the next room is a checkpoint room, safe room, or A-1000, do not spawn.
- If the 2nd prime attack in a row finishes, deny all other spawns before A-300. After A-300, limit is 3 and after A-900, 5. Prime chance is also buffed after A-900.
- Do not spawn until The Multi-monster Prime reaches an unopened door, even if delayed in some way, such as by attacking players (This does not cause desync as the server sided entity will determine when the next door will be broken down. Although this can cause desync in attack intervals from players).
Trivia
- The Multi Monster Prime's audio can be found here.
- The Multi Monster Prime uses the exact same sprites The Multi Monster uses, but with a blue tint.
- The Multi Monster Prime actually has a despawn sound effect, but can only be heard for close enough players, such as Ghosts or if you rushed to the next room while it was coming.
- Prime is Latin for first.
- The Multi Monster Prime used to stop attacking after room A-250, though this was likely changed to make the game more challenging.
- The more rooms you go through, the more The Multi Monster Prime can spawn in a row, capping at a maximum of 5 in a row.
- Before The Multi Monster Prime was given an official name, people referred to it as "B-60".
- If The Multi Monster damages you, your flashlight will flicker, however, it is hard to see the flickering until you recover from the state where everything is echoey, the only way to know if The Multi Monster Prime is coming, is by looking closely at your flashlights light, or by hearing the sound your flashlight makes when flickering. (Only tested with gummy flashlight, not with normal flashlight.)
- If The Multi Monster breaks down the Room A-50 door, The Multi Monster Prime can come right after, meaning players must need to be careful.
- Specially after A-900, you can wait inside of the locker for 2 A-60's to pass you instead of exiting after every single one. This will reduce the ammount of timings you will need to do.
